We are continuing to face opposition from the neighbors where our ministry headquarters is located (2801 Ingleside Drive in Augusta, GA). As with many conflicts, lack of knowledge often plays a part. Assumptions about who we are and what we do as the Church are probably what is fueling this. Admittedly, and thankfully, we are not the traditional church. Sadly, because the current day church standard is based deeply on tradition and not biblical design, tradition is being sought rather than God.

As the neighbors continue seeking intervention by Augusta-Richmond County Commissioners to limit or restrict our church’s assembly at this location, it is important that we educate Commissioners about who we are, what we are doing, and the positive impact we are having on our community for the advancement of Christ.

Heb. 10:24-25- We are called to assemble to encourage one another.

What we do as a Church at 2801 Ingleside Drive:

We, as His people, meet here on Mondays to praise God through word and song while we pray in one accord for God to heal our city.

2 Chron. 7:14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We use it to assemble on Wednesdays, and Sundays for the purpose of teaching biblical principles and encouraging each other to live Godly lives.

Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

We use this property on Saturday mornings to study the bible for the equipping of the saints as is required to truly follow Christ.

Psalm 119:15-16 I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word.

We use Saturday nights to serve the teens in our church by leading them in worship, studying the word of God, and teaching them how to deal with life according to God’s word while pursuing holiness in all areas of their lives.

Matt. 19:13-15 One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

How can you help?

Testify:
If you live or own property in Augusta-Richmond County, please contact the Commissioner for that district in writing and share the story of what Christ is doing in your life. The results of the heart change as you have been seeking Christ through the fellowship and teaching of this ministry and those attached to it. We are also asking that you Cc: Mayor Hardie Davis on these emails to the Commissioners. Keep in mind there is no right or wrong way to share your testimony of Christ. Keep it simple and point to Him.

Luke 8:16- God didn’t save us to keep this good news to ourselves.

Who to contact:
Use these links to make sure you use the correct emails to make your comments heard:

Locate your Commissioner here: https://augustaga.gov/652/Augusta-Commission

Mayor Davis should be contacted at this address: mayordavis@augustaga.gov

If you would like 143 to have a copy of your letter Cc: mgc@143ministries.org

What this is not:
This is not the time for you to share every detail of your former life. Christ gets the glory in what He has done in and through you; not the hell you walked in as the old man. You are a new creation if you are in Christ and that is your identity- not your old ways. So don’t allow the enemy to cause you to focus on that. You can share a little about what you have been or are being delivered from but the fruit is the proof and the standard by which we should be known.

Matt. 7:16- What is produced by Christ living in us is how others will know we belong to Christ.

Show Up:
If you live or own property in Augusta-Richmond County show up on January 28th at 535 Telfair Street at the Augusta Municipal Building. The actual room and time are TBD. This will be a Spirit led display of us being the Church. If you are a follower of Christ, you are called to demonstrate Him at all times, in every situation, and to everyone. We must always remember that we can only receive as much grace from God as we show to those we encounter. Sidenote: In the bible, that is literally referred to as “our neighbor”.

Col: 3:14-15- Love is what we are called to do regardless of situation or feelings. It’s not about us.

Pray:
We pray as a corporate body every Monday at 6pm at this very property. We pray for God to show us His heart for our City and then we partner with the Holy Spirit and pray into those things. If you want to support 143 – you absolutely cannot do it without praying for and with us. It is that simple. The evidence of your heart being in this is your willingness to pray.

Matt. 18:19-20- Where two or three are gathered in His name- He is there.
